Editor’s verdict — the short version

PlinkoX is SmartSoft's remix of the format, and it earns the X. Instead of letting you reshape the board, it fixes the geometry and moves the volatility dial into a ball-colour economy: standard pink drops, 5x yellow and 10x red balls that multiply whatever lane they land in. The result is a 10,000x theoretical ceiling — red ball into the top edge lane — which is the largest number on any Plinko-family game we track outside the slot hybrids.

At a published 98.5% RTP it is also priced honestly for what it offers: marginally below the 99% classics, well above the 96–97% platform originals. What it lacks is the crypto-native fairness layer — there is no seed verification, only certified RNG — and the fixed board will frustrate players who like dialling in 8-row low-variance sessions. Composite: 8.3 / 10. The most interesting Tier-2 build, and the right pick when you want ceiling without Hacksaw's RTP-variant roulette.

SmartSoft Gaming is the Georgian studio best known for JetX, one of the most commercially successful crash games ever released. Its catalogue focuses on instant games with strong arcade production values, distributed across a very wide operator network in both crypto and fiat markets.

The game itself — board, risk and multipliers

The board is a fixed 17-pin triangle — no row selector. Every drop costs your stake and releases a pink ball by default; the multiplier tray pays small in the centre and large at the edges, as the format demands.

The colour system is where sessions are won and lost. Yellow balls apply a 5x multiplier and red balls a 10x multiplier to whatever lane they land in, which is how the game manufactures its 10,000x ceiling from a tray that visually tops out far lower. The cadence of coloured balls is part of the game's math model — treat them as the volatility engine, not a bonus.
